The CPM-K and Jamaica LANDS extends its militant and unshakeable solidarity to the BolivarianRepublic of Venezuela, to its heroic working people, to its patriotic armed forces, and to the legitimateBolivarian Government now led by acting President Delcy Rodriguez following the kidnappingof
President Nicolás Maduro Moros by the Imperialist USA government on Saturday 3rd January 2026. We condemn in the strongest revolutionary terms this barbaric attack on Venezuelan territoryandpopulation, targeting civilian and military sites in the cities of Caracas and La Guaira, and in the states of
Miranda and Aragua. It is the third time that the USA has kidnapped a head of state this century, HugoChávez in 2002 and Jean-Bertrand Aristide from Haïti in 2004. The struggle of Venezuela is not isolated. It is part of the global struggle of oppressed nations against
imperialism. The people of Venezuela have built, through their own efforts, the means to endtheexploitation and oppression that we also face in Kenya and Jamaica. This reality is something that theplantation mongrels in our respective countries who daily sell our sovereignty for a plate of rice andpeaswill never be able to understand. The same forces that menace Venezuela sustain the comprador regimeof William Ruto in Kenya, and are home to the factories that produce the weapons exported to Jamaicainexchange for drugs destined for consumption in the USA and Europe. We know the people of Venezuela will face this challenge with the same dignity that members of our ownrespective organisation have grown to admire in exchanges with grassroots organisations andstateofficials from the country.
We commend the stances taken by the Palestinian Resistance groups in support of the Venezuelanpeopleand put them in stark contrast to those of open support for the intervention that have come fromtheleaders of El Salvador and “Israel”. Imperialism appears powerful but the people are more powerful. Empires look eternal until the daytheycollapse. That day is prepared by struggle, by organisation, and by revolutionary consciousness. AsComrade Hugo Chávez Frías taught the world, the correct response in moments of danger is:
Unity, struggle, battle, and victory. One People, One America, One Destiny !
