As the Communist Party of Kenya, we condemn the recent attack on Palestinians by the Israeli military. The Israeli military, in its ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people, assassinated three Palestinian leaders, followed by bombings that killed at least 31 Palestinians, including women and children, and injured 93 in the Gaza Strip.
The timing of this attack, just days before the 75th year of the Nakba, the forced expulsion of the Palestinian people from their homeland by Zionists, shows the deliberate and calculated nature of Israel's aggression towards the Palestinian people.
Israel has continued to tighten its blockade of Gaza, which has been in place for over a decade, restricting the movement of Palestinians and access to basic necessities, including food and medical supplies. The recent closure of the Erez checkpoint, the only point where Palestinians can leave Gaza, further highlights the dire situation faced by Palestinians.
The Palestinian resistance has vowed to continue its fight against Israeli aggression and occupation, and we stand in solidarity with their struggle for liberation. We call on the international community to support the Palestinian people and hold Israel accountable for its crimes against humanity.
We call on all progressive forces in Kenya to join us in condemning the actions of the Israeli military and to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom, justice, and self-determination.
Long live the Palestinian people's struggle for liberation! Down with Israeli aggression and occupation! Down with Zionism!
Signed,
